tank - no(imho)
scout type vehicle - yes

bug engines are pretty small, and you'd probably kill it(and its clutch) trying to push a vehicle with armour, weaponry, and players. you should try and get an old, small 4x4 if he's got one. more torque = less speed = more safety.
