Some of them put bandwidth limits on things. So if too many people look at a picture within the time segment (usually a month I believe) access gets restricted. Once a new time period begins the picture will be available again. You'd have to check what each hosting site offers. I'd be very careful about some of them from what I've read though. Some have rather dubious copyright clauses or clauses that allow them to change the 'terms of agreement' with little or no notice to you. May not be as big an issue with pictures as it is with some things but it's something to be careful of.
