Hi!

I know most of you aren't going to be happy with this, but I figured if you don't hear it
from me that you'd hear it from someone else sooner or later.

Since Gun F/X pulled the sales of their
non pyro, blast creating M14 & M16 reusable
mine simulators from the civilian market,
there hasn't been an effective, as well as
safe mine that'd be capable of neutralizing
tanks.
That's about to change with the introduction
later this month of a totally new mine from the folks at Master Paintball. Dubbed the M80 TR, this reusable mine simulator is sure to be a hit with anyone who wants to deploy a mine, either against troops or vehicles.
As it stands now this model doesn't take a
lot of weight to initiate it, so players who
preceed or follow a vehicle are going to be placed at as much risk as the vehicle itself.
The mine itself is made largely from Poly-carbonate components, which means it'll take a heck of a lot of abuse.
It uses a single 12 gram for power and there are two options, in terms of what it'll expel. You can use paint, which amounts to some 13 ounces in this case, or you can also opt to
use something like baby powder if you'd like
to make it look like smoke from a blast. Again,
it uses NO PYRO, so safety isn't an issue.

There are also two ways that the new M80 TR
mine dispels its' contents. The contents
come out either through what's called a
flail tube, which sprays stuff about in a
random fashion, or with the use of the optional 'burst tube', in one loud,
explosive like, burst.
Here's a photo of the mine so you'll know
what to watch out for, but as you can see,
it's colored to make detecting it nearly
impossible.

Probably the worst news regarding all this,
is the fact that it's also cheap. MSRP for
the M80 TR, minus the optional burst tube is 39.95. The burst tubes, which have to be replaced after each use, probably won't amount
to more than 1-2 bucks each, but don't hold
me to that.

If you'd like more details on this, drop
me a line and I'll be happy to tell you all
I know. Oh, I also have a clip that shows
it in action, both with the flail tube, as
well as with the optional burst tube, if
anyone wants to check it out.

Remember, always cover your rear!
