The difference is cosmetics and the warranty

Both of them perform the same, the main differences between the two are

Cosmetics:
The minimag comes with a slightly different body, a short barrel, and a vertical bottle adaptor.


Warranty:
A long time ago if your marker broke down you could send your marker to AGD they will fix it for free (within limits)
This started to get too expensive for AGD to keep doing so they came up with their star program.
Each AGD marker has 1-4 stars engraved on the valve and this was the number of times you can send the marker in to get it fixed for free.
A standard Automag has one star.
A Minimag has Four stars.
