The Automag RT came out in about 1998. The original Automag's used an air input directly into the valve. The RT's used an airway machined into the body rail for a supply which fed into the bottom of the RT's valve through a "banjo" bolt. This causes some problems if it was over tight or not tight enough. ADG redesigned the RT-Pro to be like the original Automag valves and have an air input on the side. This way it could be sold as the Retro Valve for the older Mag's as an upgrade. There really isn't much difference between the two except the air input. They both work pretty well the same way, but it's easier to upgrade the RT-pro's because they are more like the Classic Automags.

: i know that the rt is older than the pro. look at agd's website for more info.
