: well all hpa tanks are regulated, some are preset and some are adjustable, if there was no regulator at all the op pressure would be 3000 psi. most preset tanks run at 800-850 psi. but there are tanks from some manufactures that are made specially for shockers and such they are preset at 250. but you can just put a reg on your gun and you should be fine, or get an adjuastable tank.

Well then the question becomes....what pressure do compressed air tanks operate at typically without a reg?

: : I posted the below comment on the shocker forum but haven't gotten a response yet and I figured it would be appropriate here as well.

: : : I'm going to purchase a new Shocker and with it, my first compressed air tank. I noticed a HUGE difference between the price tags on these tanks though. A pure enerfy 68 4500 was just over $200 when the same tank, flatline brand was $450. When I inquired as to the reason I was told this is due to a regulator these higher end tanks have. My question is this....is this regulator really necessary on a Shocker? Will it truely affect performance? If so, how?

: : : I've been told that regs are essential on some guns but not on a shocker. Any opinions on that?

: : : Thanks for any help you guys can give!
