asking to use something like an angel air on the field to a total stranger is a touch much BUT heres a few real life things that happen to me regularly

1) Checkin stuff out at the field - yup it works Ive been allowed to test fire markers and ask questions often. Got to check out Angels, Freak Kits, Cockers, Matrix, and several other markers simply by being polite and patient and taking the time to be a friend asking questions instead of pestering anyone. If they were busy or wanting in a game - I waited. If they were leery of letting me use it in a game I asked to walk with them to the shooting gallery and try it out. Its mostly in the presentation - a lot of folks are PROUD of their gear and more than happy to let you "check it out" within reason - it takes a LOT of trust to let someone run off into a game with your marker whereas walking WITH someone to a shooting gallery and checking it out together is much more relaxed.

2) I ignore idiot posts and replies where people ask me to do stupid things. There will always be opportunists, jerks, and morons out there - give them the attention they deserve...you know..."talk to the hand...."

3) Often I will do a LOT of research before making a purchase, this includes asking people who already own the item, using it if possible, checking its maintenance history, and asking a lot of people a lot of questions. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with being methodical BEFORE you make a purchase....now buying something out of the blue then doing your homework is a bit dangerous at best......

bottom line is this though - if you make yourself out to be whiney or childish in a post - expect to be treated accordingly. Take responses with a grain of salt and learn to ignore the lame ones. And keep in mind that in a public forum you wont always get answers you like.

best of luck out there and hope you overcome those obstacles

Ryan
