: I have bought a refill station for Co2 tanks and want to make sure I am filling appropriately;I am having some problems finding information on the following.
: -what % do you leave for expansion?? when refilling a tank;I have read somewhere that you should leave 35% of the tank empty to allow for expansion.
: I have a 20 oz tank and this would equate to 13 oz.
: I would rather be on the safe side.It is much more economical to refill tanks myself and my friends than at a store.
: Thanks

You fill the tank by weight, not volume. When people say there should be 1/3 empty, they mean 1/3 of the volume. Fill a 20zo tank to 20oz using a scale (digital fish scales work good) and it will still have 1/3 vapor.

Here's a how-to all about filling CO2 on Warpig:

And a chart to help you understand:

Enjoy!
