At the IAO in Pittsburgh in August, one of the companies there, a larger manufacturer of fiber wrap tanks, had a new lighter tank which was still in need of approval by the DOT. This tank, which at that time did not have a reg on it or air, was as mentioned about half of the weight of a normal fiber wrap tank. I might be mistaken, but I tink the inner tank was a polymer or light aluminum, I can't remember off hand. Hope this helps a bit. : I was in my local paintball shop and I heard someone mention they had seen a lightweight nitro tank made out of either titanium or it was totally carbon fiber. Anyway he said that it weighed about half as much as a traditional carbon fiber wrapped tank. I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this? Also if you know some pricing information could you post that too.
