Reg problems

I have a AA 68/4500 Apocalypse (old style) with an AA Vigilante regulator going into a 2k2 cocker with a Smart Parts Supercharger valve and a CT front reg (the front reg shouldn't make a difference, but just in case.) Problem is this: My Apoc is tournament locked at something like 780-800 psi, but spiked and blew the output gauge for no reason at all. The Vigilante is cranked a good ways in, so it's putting a high pressure into the marker with a low pressure valve, but it's not complaining, the valve, that is. I had to turn the pressure going into the Vigilante down because it was blowing out of it's relief hole, even though it is designed to accept pressures up to 1200 psi. I'm sort of stumped. I can't figure out why the tank spiked or why the vigilante is doing what it is. Any thoughts? Help? Suggestions? Thanks, Devman |
