Can I make my own dip tube for a 50# CO2cylinder?

I have an empty 50# CO2 cylinder without a dip tube. We've been renting one with a dip tube but would like to get this one working. Can I use copper tubing and solder (or something similar) and somehow solder a homemade dip tube into the cylinder valve? Would it be safe? Any pointers? I just don't have the money to spend 50 or 60 more dollars to have one installed at this time. Thanks all, Ken |
