I also have and A-5 and I have also noticed that it does not run well with the compressed air tank that I have. I do have to point out that I have a cheaper bottle. I think that while the pressure is enough to fire the marker, the flow rate is not high enough to sustain fire, especially with my RT trigger. I did have the A-5 serviced and Tippmann did say that the cyclone may operate a little to quickly on compressed air (they recommend buying a "flow adjuster" from them to slow down the rate a little). Although I have not experimented, I am guessing that if you get a better tank, with a higher flow, it will probably work better. For now I run the A-5 with Co2 and the 98 custom with compressed air.
