AA Raptor--pluses and minuses?

I am considering buying an AA Raptor, but I've heard some criticisms concerning their lack of an on/off valve and output pressure gauge. I'd like to hear from anyone who has experience with them--
Are these issues serious problems? If not, what did you do to fix them? Thanks...
