: Ok, so ive gone with the 3000 PSI HPA. Is it worth the extra buck, why or why not?

-You already bought it so it's moot, but if you know anything about co2 you know how it needs heat to expand to shoot. This heat it grabs from the world around it's pathway to the ball, which is why in rapid fire you may see frost forming on your gun or bottle. HPA does NOT do this because it does not need to heat up to provide the pressure to shoot. So it's more consistent.
-The bad thing about HPA is that it's shot count is much lower compared to a same sized bottle of co2. A 12 oz co2 bottle gives about the same amount of shots as a 68/3000 on most guns- around 650 shots. A 20 oz bottle can give 1000-1200 shots, a 68ci bottle would shoot even more.
The difference in size of bottles is made up by the weight of the bottle, though. A full HPA bottle feels just a little bit heaevier than an empty one. A full CO2 bottle as much as the amount of fill you put in (20oz bottle weighs 1.25 lbs heavier than an empty one.)
-HPA systems will provide air up right up until the end, in otherwords not too much drop off in velocity as the bottle empties, but then boom it'll drop fast once it's below whatever pressure your gun is using. CO2 will sputter and shots will slow down until the last drop giving you ample warning that it's getting low.
-Fills; if you're providing your own, co2 is cheaper per shot and easier for some to get. A 20lb siphon bulk tank costs about 100 bux and 20 to refill from a welding supply store. A fill station about 30 bux.
HPA up to 3000psi can be got from scuba/dive shops. The 60- 80 CF tanks run 100+ (or less if used or out of date and they know it's only for pb). Fills for these usually cost 5 bux. The problem is some places won't fill your tank if you're not scuba certified. Some might know you're a pb player and will rent tanks too. Fill stations are abt 35 bux.

In general most guns run better on HPA. Guns like the Mag turn from a great gun to a OUTSTANDING gun with the use of HPA, especially adjustble psi HPA.
