My personal opinion formed from 7 years with Palmer Guns?

It's VERY reliable, and has NEVER gone down in 7 years. Maintenance is easy, and if you're worried about the closed valve system, send it to Glenn on the off-season for a tuneup. I think of them as cockers that don't require non-stop timing work. You set it and forget it.

It can work in really bad conditions with no issues. I've found it to be fairly consistent, and if you want to be really consistent, add a rock reg to the setup and you'll be set. How loud? It's usually non-ported and it's not low pressure... so it's loud.

Only downside is lack of upgradability on the barrel and such, but it's NOT a bad barrel to begin with. I used this gun in a lot of major tournaments for 7 straight years. Finally moved to a gun with a higher rate of fire, but this gun is great for almost anyone.

: How Reliable is a typhoon? How much maintence is needed? What are the worst conditions it can possibly work in?example:falling into a pile of mud then shooting with wet paint How consistent is the velocity with HPA? How loud is it?
