You will be fine. The biggest thing that an adjustable tank will get you is the abiltiy to get more shots out before you run out of air.

If you are using a 'cocker set up to run at say 300 psi, the non adjustable reg on the tank will stop providing air at ~750 psi (where C02 tanks provide gas, and most guns not set up for low pressure are designed to work with.)

However using the same gun you could drop the reg on the adjustable tank to say 50-100 above your gun's operating pressure. So set your tank to say 400. You now have an additional 350 psi with which to shoot paintballs.

That was the long answer. The short answer is yes, they work fine. I have a (slowly) personaly constructed cocker with many ANS components and I use a 3000 psi carbon fiber preset from PMI . HPA was the best move I ever made for my cocker. I played today, first shot over chrono at 276 fps. Chronoed every shot within 3 fps of all day long. Never had to adjust velocity. mmmmm goodness.

Okay that answer wasn't really short, sorry :P

: If on a limited budget, should I get a pre-set tank, for a while, for my new auto cocker? (crossfire makes a set 450 psi tank) or should I save up and get an adjustable, like a max flow or something? please list reasons why, also.. thanks alot.
