: If California Dragon is right, that's quite funny. Truthfully, lots of people care about punctuation. Think about your impression of people, based upon how they speak. If they speak intelligently, you are more likely to respect what they say. Punctuation and spelling are the defining parts of writing intelligently, and the correct use of them will add credibility to what you're writing. Additionally, saving the second and third read with the clarity that comes with proper writing is more courteous to your reader. If you still don't think that writing with proper punctuation is important, ask your employer (or the next interviewer you meet) how important communication skills are. Then ask if written communication is as important as verbal.
