Stock cockers and mags are great starters. Both under $500, I'm sure, and you can upgrade them to tournament killin' machines as you can afford it. That's one big advantage over electros. You have to buy them all at once, dropping a LOT of cash. Get a chance to shoot stock cockers and mags, and decide which you like best. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
