I see where you are coming from.

I recommend you get a barrel for what ever gun you buy that you can match to the paint you use. High presasure air is AN ABSOLUTE MUST for most markers for consistency, You can run co2 on some that I list below but I do not recommend it! CO2 is a major contributor to velocity drop off due to the thermal dynamics of that gas!

I actually have to recommend the Angel line of markers myself, The Angel Speed is fast accurate and will only set you back around 950 (that is the highest price I have seen. Granted that has to be run on High Preasure Air I am sure you saw that in 95 (or at least heard the rumors). I recommend highly you get a high preasure air system, (for consistency). Also that is gonna run you around 200 bucks. Get a Halo-B or perhaps an Evolution II loader ev is only like 70, and the B is gonna be like 120. Also get a decent barrel perhaps a Freak barrel system or an Evil Pipe (I currently recommend the freak even with the lawsuit stuff that is flying around).

If your budget does not meet these ritz carlton prices check out the Impulse (roughly 450$ semi only), Shocker(gas hog 550 for semi only), a Bushmaster(yeah thats the name)Last time I checked them out like 600 ish (that was then of course I had a hookup there).
A WEB PAGE for shocker and what is called the impulse is www.smartparts.com
Those are your electo-pnuematic options.

The non electro options are pretty much the Automag and AutoCocker--Yes they can still rock the field with the best of them. The Stock autococker (info from www.worr.com)will set you back around 330 or less, and will contend with most markers out there. The Automag is best in it's RT form or Emag/X-mag form, information on automags can be found at www.airgun.com.

: Okay, bear with me..

: I used to play many many years ago. Was running a (very very faithfull) Bushmaster Pro and then it got shelved. I'm looking to get back into the game and paintball has come a long ways.

: Interestingly enough I've run across the electro-pnumatic guns. Damn. I had started work on that idea back in 1995 and shelved it due to lack of funds. I should have pushed it...

: Anyways, I need a refresh and to come up to speed on all the different guns/markers. The websites are okay but there's no "global feature list."

: What resources would everyone recommend besides the mainstream big sites?

: I'm looking for new toy. Something insanely accurate. I don't mind "low" ROF as any semi is higher ROF than I'm used to anyways. It only takes one shot...

: I'd like something elctro-pnumatic, 3-round burstable to mitigate climb (minimal anyways) and conserve paint.

: My old Bushmaster Pro with a custom-machines muzzle brake could outshoot anyone, with anything for accuracy at distance (the old Automag/cockers were just starting to go mainstream.)

: Suggestions? If you have any don't start spewing too much jargon or I'll get swamped looking thattricycle up. I don't need "reflex-this-is-the-hottest-fad-right-now" but real insight into the technical/practical side of the new markers. (More PC to call them markers? They used to just be "guns.")

: TIA.
