: can you actually use a pre set hpa tank on a bushy with a stock reg, i heard it jacks the gun up. is it a must to upgrade the reg to use a pre set tank,, or will the stock reg be ok with one??

: thank in advance

:: It depends on how new your Bushy is. The newer ones are supposedly compatible with fixed output air systems. The older ones have an inline reg designed to work best at a 500 psi input pressure.

Experience showed that you could run a fixed system on the older Bushies and get good performance, but the inline reg will go out prematurely. I ran mine that way for about six months before changing the inline reg and the air system. The reg held up and performance was fine.

If you have a new Bushy, I would suggest the fixed system. If you have an older one, I would replace the inline reg with Vigilante (a very good reg for the least money) or a Gladiator (as good as a reg gets for a little more money) and go with the fixed air system. This will be less expensive (and typically less maintenance) than an adjustable air system worth having.

Superannuated
