OK...

Here is my 2 cents...

If you have a preset HP system, do 1 of 2 things. Get the HP upgrade from ICD or get an aftermarket LP reg such as a Air America Vigilante with the LP spring, Messiah or MacDev Gladiator and CA adapter. Also consider going to a good adjustable HP system such as Paintball Mania (have had one since 1998), Center Flag, Smart Parts, MacDev or Air America.

I hear good things about the MacDev Sonic LP Reg System. But thier RED valve and Check-It's valve seem to have a leak about 50% of the time during installation. Wet Worx makes a valve, but they're hard to find. I spoke with Jerry Dobbins at ICD about this one last week.

Bolts - The stock one works well with the marker. Also the Wet Worx one seems to work just as well. The Eclipse SLIKK ones I find to be a bit on the large size and need to be sanded down to work well (I have a set).

Get the marker VAPORIZED by Paintball Trader. This will lower the operating pressure and make the marker run much more efficiently and FPS are more consistant.

As for the electronics, If you get your marker Vaporized, "Goldie" will also install a quick disconnect from the solenoid to the lower grip harness. Makes it real easy for maintenance.

There seems not to be a good variety of aftermarket frames around. Consider Eaton Mfg.s "Ripper" frame. Tom Eaton also said that he is working on a "Ripper" body, but that wont be available for quite a while. So don't hold your breath...at least not too long.

Last but not least, a DV8 system from Defiance Paintball would be cool. It'll also cost you a cool $230.

That's it...Hope this helps!

L8R

Mike
