The first thing to do is disassemble, clean and lube both your tank reg and the in-line reg on your gun, making sure that all o-rings and seals are OK. That has a good chance of fixing your problem. Many adjustable air systems tend to require fairly frequent maintenance (cleaning and lubrication) for reliable performance.

If that doesn't work, try someone else's tank to see what happens. If it works OK, that eliminates the in-line reg as the source of the problem, in which case you may have a problem with the tank reg that isn't apparent. You don't say what kind of air system you have, but Air America has a great web site and Mac Dev provides very good diagnostic instructions with their systems. Some manufacturers will have telephone tech support. Some systems aren't very owner-friendly to fix, so you may have to send it back to the manufacturer.

If you have the problem with a different air system, figure your in-line reg needs work and find an ICD tech in your area or send the reg back to ICD for repair (or get an aftermarket reg).

Regards,

Superannuated
