If you have one of the older stock in-line regs, do not exceed 500 psi output from the tank or you will shorten your reg's life.

Actually, anything in excess of about 200 psi over the gun's operating pressure (what the in-line reg puts into the gun) is unnecessary. A stock Bushy will usually operate in the 225 to 275 psi range. My Bushy runs at 225 psi and I keep my tank output pressure at 475 psi. It seems to work fine that way.
