: I use a Dye Ultralite barrel on my 98 and the rps paint seems to work best. For the money big ball does a good job, with marbs being the best along with polar ice when playing below 50F. I have tried Zap pro series and they are way too large for the Ultralite barrel. They constantly break. Anyone care to comment on this and has anyone found other paint (other than mentioned above) to work well with the UL barrel?

I get all our paint at a local paintball shop. They store it around a in-wall lp gas flame heater. It is kept warm and very very dry. It always is much smaller, and rounder, than the exact same paint that they sell at their indoor field where it is cold and damp from concrete floors and the moisture from billions of paint splats. I prefer the RPS Advantage shell, and have not had any problems with it in the snow and cold, but I think that the main reason is because it is kept so dry. I find that all stats about paintballs are not really very accurate because of the lack of this control over storage. The size of the same make of paint can change radically depending on how it has been stored. If you can keep it warm and dry, your paint will remain in the smaller range.
