Not at all...
co2 usually comes out at about 800 - 850 psi (depending on climate).
Most preset air tanks are set at either 800 or 850 psi... Same as standard co2 output.
The only effect might be a slightly better velocity consistancy.

: I while back i bought an LP and tippmann regulator, and i could NOT get the things to work (I spent well over 20 bucks on air and paint just trying to get it work). I was sick of waiting to play so I just put all the old internals back in and used my HPA tank. Will this harm the gun any?
