At first this one thing was the main reason that I didn't go with the freak barrel. With the 98, you had to use the adapter. Smart parts didn't have the back section made for the 98 yet. They have one now. I have been very happy with it! I have not broken a single ball in about 500 rounds with this adapter. I have not tried any others, but the one from Smart Parts works great in mine and I use the response trigger. Havn't had a chance to see if it works as well with other Spyder type barrels that are supposed to fit. Lapco makes good products, but I have no experience with their adapter.

: Anybody have any experience using these? Do they affect the barrel/marker performance? How good of an alternative are they to buying multiple barrels for each of your markers (other than not having to shell out cash for two of the same barrel)? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
