You are correct a point. If YOU store paint well, it will work ok. STores don't always have that option, and some of them can be rather careless with it. Plus, over a long period of time a paint can get a flat spot from sitting in the same spot so long. I don't think a store will go in back and shake the paint a little to move it. If I have paint that I want to keep for a long time, I will occasionally stir it a little to keep this from happening. Nothing big really, but I prefer to know I am getting something that is of excellent quality.
