: I own a m98. I do not have a chrono. Is there a good guidline to set my adjusting screw at? My gun has only been used a few times. I know that on the box the screw is flush with the outside case. I have mine almost flush with the inside case. I know that no two guns are a like.

The best way to make sure you're under 300 fps is to pony up the $50 and get yourself a chrono. OR, play at a regular field where they have chronos there for you to use. There's no other practical way to do it, and no other safe way to do it. Sorry.
