Prolite question

I've got a pro-lite that occasionally won't recock. I've noticed that it's double-feeding, which is then causing balls to get chopped. I think that this, in turn, is making the front bolt o-ring "hang-up", keeping the gun from re-cocking. Does this sound like a reasonable assumption? And what would cause the gun to double feed in the first place? Maybe a bad ball detente?

Thanks
