: What size barrel is better for a 98 custom, 12 or 14 inches?

Its actually been shown that 10-12 inch barrels are usually the optimum length. This is because the first 6 or so inches of the barrel are used for acceleration, and the next 4-5 inches are used for controlling ball flight. After 11-12 inches the barrel can actually cause there to be drag on the ball.
