the velocity first, if you are holding the marker on the left side under where it says Tippmann 98 custom there is a hole (deep in this hole is a allen wrench screw, this is the velocity screw you turn is right or left till you are at the correct velocity using a chronograph otherwise dont touch it till you have access to a chrono.
second the paint vering to the right or left
if you would of looked down this thread you would see all 98 owners recommend a new barrel first modification this will help majorly over the stock barrel (get a lapco big shot, jj ceramic, smart parts, or a dye excel these are some reasonable priced barrels)also get some higher quality paint will help but you will have to decide if the paint is worth the extra cost, there are numerous articles that will say paint to barrel match is the most important thing which is u put a paint ball down the barrel and can blow it through with your mouth it is correct fit (not roll through)

do some more reading down this thread before you put up a question that has been answered a dozen times second read your owners manual completely if you dont have one tippmann will mail you one for free.
