: : I've finally given up with my custom 98 w/ flatline..after many futile attmpts i still have problems. i've read many reviews and it sounds like tippmann finally took a lot of the guess work out of setting up the flatline and got rid of some other quirky things with the 98 flatline.. So i am going with the A5 w/Egrip and flatline..my question for those of you with A5's is...what is optimal input pressure? I currently have a rather large 114 ci HPA tank..but i was wondering if there would be a performance difference between using HPA or running co2 with a palmer stabilizer..
: : geez..cant wait til tippman comes out with low pressure kit for A5

: : thanks in advance

: Lowering the pressure on the A5 would be risky. The loader system depends on a significant amount of blowback gas to be released from the back of the valve. Lower the pressure too much, and the feeding will be less reliable.

: As for HPA - I run my A5 on HPA, and am pleased with how it does. If you choose to go CO2, then a stabilizer would definitely be a good call, to keep the pressure going to the gun consistent, but you'd still want to avoid feeding liquid to the stab by going with either a vertical bottle on remote, or an anti-siphon tank.

: See you on the field,
: -Bill Mills
