well this is a simple question, first it will be personal preference, second is what I have seen, the first being price stock 98 is around 100 bucks spyders are from 70-500 stock and a base cocker is 350, I would get a cocker over a 150+ priced spyder so that leaves 3 choices 1 tippy 98c for 100-130 2 spyder 70-150 3 cocker 350 of course you need to factor in other gear now then if your thinking the 98c or spyder you will likely want an upgraded barrel 40-100 I understand the stock spyder barrel is ok to start but the 98c barrel sux. and my buds hopped up spyder is a high maintence rig my hopped up 98c has had no problems so first get good comfortable goggles I use JT Nforcer fourth consider upgrades, barrel, regulator, drop forward, double triggers, agitated hopper, compressed air since you asked this question you are not ready for a cocker, I would only recomend this if all your friends are using this. then they would be able to help you learn your marker.
