: : OK, Why havent we seen pivoting hammers, as seen on Pistols? If they can signite a primer charge, shouldnt one be able to open a valve enough to release sufficient gas?

: Crossman 3057. Chesk it out. I think it was 50 cal. and 12 gram operated. Old, old piece. I want one just to have. They look really cool. But very hard to find. If you want to try to make a newer version of this modified to 68 cal. You have a buyer here. Good luck.

Crossman 3357, one of the coolest paintguns ever made. You could fire it single action or double action (single action was more accurate) but that .50 cal ball just didn't have range or accuracy compared to a .68.

Also the Sheridan XGS is a double action paintgun with a pivoting hammer. The one I tested for review wouldn't go under 320 fps though :-(

One of the drawbacks to these two designs was that velocity could not be adjusted.

See you on the field,
-Bill Mills
