Semi-auto pump conversions

I recently came into contact with a semi-auto nelson pump, but I am not certain weather it was a custom conversion or kit. Beyond the Sniper and Sterling I have no knowledge of other semi-conversions especially for a nelson-based pump.
What type of performance could be expected and
would such a gun be reliable? When was bolting pnumatics on a pump popular?
