First, the valve cap is the bulb just under your barrel. It is easy access to the valve chamber, and it also extends the size of the chamber so you can run at 200 psi like the imp does. The hammer is the piece that hits the valve and opens it to fire a shot in the shot cycle. It is located just under the bolt, that little piece on the back that has an allen key hole in the middle of it and has two flats spots on the outside for a wrench. That is the ram assembly. On the tip of it is the hammer. Upgrades are a personal taste. It is your gun, so it is up to you to fix what you don't like about it. You have played with it, figure out things you don't like and fix them. For high rates of fire mine still has too much recoil, so I am getting a lighter bolt, hammer, and ram assembly to help reduce it, and I'm going to get an LPR to help with my efficiency. I recommend the Freak system because the stock barrel is ok, but the freak is just that much better and the paint fit has made a big difference. I already have a tape worm and an eclipse blade trigger to help me hit those insane rates of fire. If you don't already have a vision system, get one. They are worth it. I needed a fast feed system, so I got an older halo I had that was malfunctioning working in correct order again and will soon send it in for the HALO B upgrade. This is my plan, maybe it will help give you some ideas.
