Never had a problem with mine or the one's I've sold. Equation said that to me about Smart Parts (I'm a SP dealer as well) when I became a dealer for them, I've yet to sell an Equation barrel but have sold Freaks. Sounds like a marketing ploy. I haven't heard anything bad about Equations, but I have personal experience with the Freak, and I highly recommend it. Hope it helps.

: Can't say that I have this problem, and the guy at your shop is full of it. We have sold like 10 freaks in the past year, 12 if you can't me and my brother, and everyone is extremely pleased. The only one I know of that did have a problem is a guy from out of town to play at our field. Apparently they made a series of barrels for m/c98's a year or 2 ago that were miss lengthened and they had a small gap between the breech of the gun and the barrel when it screwed in. As you can guess, massive ball breakage occured, but SP replaced it for him quickly, he got it back a week after he sent it out.
