: so whats the difference? why is evil better than freak exactly?

i recently purchased a new gun, a new 2002 blue to black fade timmy highly reccomended, and after buying a nice air system, new maxflow tank, and a gas thru grip, there are only 2 things left before my setup will be complete. 1 is a new barrel and the econd is an eggII.
ive have spent countless hours on the net trying to find what makes a barrel accurate, and have come to the conclusion that 1)how polished the interior is, how smooth. 2)paintball to barrel bore match 3) consistency in size of pballs 4)consistency in muzzle velocity. thats it, longer barrels will ***slightly*** affect accuracy, meaning that they will guide the ball longer and help with accuracy at further ranges. but they will in no way whatsoever affact the range of the pball, velocity and weight of the ball affects the range. so after learning this i proceeded to find the highest polished barrel on the market. i had it narrowed down to freak or dye ultralite. then i saw the OLN's coverage of 2002 world cup and saw the pipe kit, my intital reaction was pos freak rip off, then i did a lil research and the as said that it was polished VERY well and said to take a device for measuring this to it and other barrels, now i understand that is an ad, but i doubt they would/can lie about that. that said i think that in theory the pipe would be more accurate because it has a slicker surface. i have also heard from some peeps that they didnt like their freaks too much. i am a back/mid player and i plan on getting a 12 inch pipe kit, now i know somewhere out there who just read that is thinking that since im a back player i should get a 14 or 16 inch instead, but shorter barrels allow you to chrono more consistently
and that helps ur accuracy, just try to keep it at 280, any higher and u can deform the ball having an adverse affect on accuracy.

hope this helped clear up a lil bout pipes and freaks, i know it was more bout barrels than pipes or freaks, but an alluminum tube that was polished excelenty and matched the paint well would be very accurate too, so when picking a barrel choose one with a high degree of honing (polishing) and one that matches ur paint. porting just makes it quieter, but a lil less gass efficient.
