: is a laser sight worth it? Is it acurate as well as precise? Because exposing a person's eye to the light from a laser represents a risk of eye damage, laser sights aren't acceptable in paintball. For firearms they are fine, because once someone has had their head blown off, it doesn't really matter if they had any eye damage a moment before. For paintguns, it's a whole different story since we're not trying to hurt anyone. As for red dot sights, they can come in handy, but you have to practice with them, to know the range at which they are sighted in, because of the paintball's arced flight. I've had times where using a red dot sight meant I got that first shot hit on someone, because they didn't have time to duck back while I walked a line of shots into them. However those times are few and far between, as I've found that more often than not, I don't have time to use the sight. See you on the field, |
