The Vents line was bought several years ago by Scott. They promptly discontinued the Vents goggles, stating they already had a fine line of paintball safety gear. Since then, paintball has adopted the ASTM safety standards. As safe as the Vents goggles were (and probably still are), they never got tested by the ASTM people... since they were out of production. The word that I got was that many insurance companies won't insure over an injury occuring with non-ASTM certified goggles, so many fields won't let you play in Vents.

I miss mine, too. Still have them, I just don't use them. I also refuse to buy anything from Scott, partially because of the "buy out the competition" deal they did with Vents, and partially because of their handling of my phone call to them regarding said Vents. Not good.
