: Seriously? thats almost as funny as someone threating legal action against stealing source code from another website that have almost no similarities (sometyhing my friend has to deal with currently from CNET, that 'tarded games website) Yep. Protecting a brand name is very important. They first e-mailed about a FAQ that mentioned their product, so I added a note to the FAQ, about the TM. Then months later, they sent another, angrier letter - I replied back that I'd already changed it. A few months after that, one of WARPIG's sponsors received a faxed letter threatening legal action over it (this being well after I'd included the mention that they owned the trademark.) This time when I wrote back to their legal dept., I sent a copy to their public relations department, describing how inappropriate I thought their most recent letters were, and that I would make an effort in the future to discuss PTFE lubricants in general, rather than recommending their particular brand. Haven't heard back from them since. See you on the field, |
