I have upgraded my spyder flash with a lot of expensive parts but the most effective upgrades I did was: sand down the bolt to make the gun break A LOT less paintballs, modify the stock drop foreward to make the gun more compact, and buy a new barrel (LPACO Bigshot).

The funny thing is that two of these upgrades were free. Although the other upgrades (which I don't care to mention) did help, I don't feel that I got my money's worth.

The point is that you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a "good" paintball gun.
