: : : : Hey, I know this is a spyder forum, but I havve a question. I was fixing a guys piranha and had a lot of trouble with it. I don't really have time to type it all out right now, but I can say it's in the piranha forum. The jack holes in that forum are more like, 'What should I buy' than I have this problem. LMK if there is an answer to my question. : : : Here is what he typed in the pirhana forum.... : : : I was cleaning a gun for a friend of mine and had big problems once it was put back together. First, when I took the gun apart two of the bolt o-rings were ripped but still in place. I replaced them and cleaned the paint out of the gun. When I gased the gun back up the gun would cock, but would fire in rapid sequence and HARD. like hard enough when I stuck my hand over the muzzel, it gave me a bruise. Not the purple kind either, like a blood blister. This is without paint loaded! Not only that, but it chopped the o-rings on the bolt again and spit pieces out at me through the feed and the muzzel. I figured it was a cup seal thing so I took it to a guy I know who is great to his piranha. He looked it over and just said to replace the o-rings in the gun. Did it to get the same result. And another bruise. AAHHHHH!!!!! I'm too frustrated to work on it anymore but I am still curious as to what the hell was wrong with the gun to make it do that. : : Hmmmm...... Did it really give you a blister???? I havn't dealt with pirhanas much, but i assume they're a 2 stack tube blow back dealy?.?.?.? Anyways, did anything happen to the main spring? It sounds like its hitting really hard. If you have problems with o-rings tearing, make sure you are using the right kind. And use vaseline, it works wonders........... he he he. Right, well, um, Is the sir tank ok? it could be busted. Does it have a low pressure chamber? The pressure may be too high, if it has a reg, tune it down. Ya know what? Im probably going to need to know the setup on the gun in order to diagnose it. Post that and ill go run it by hellrazor right now and see what he thinks. HTH. Later. : Um...it sounds like the pressure is too high, try dropping it down a bit and try the muzzle thing on the other hand lol. Thats the only thing I can think of. If you can try running the gun over a chrono and see what happens instead of shooting yourself in the hand again, that sounds painful. Post again with the speed of the paint, if it shoots at all and dosent just blast the paint apart in the breech...man thats some serious pressure to give you a blood blister... Hey thanks for the help, I knew I could count on you guys to answer it. I don't have the gun anymore, I gave it back to the kid and told him to have fun with it. The spring was a new spring from a piranha kit, and the velocity was turned down as low as it could go. It was a standard PMI 20 oz. Co2 tank. and No LP chamber. I tried everything I could think of to fix it as if it were my spyder SE, but no luck. Thanks for the cut/paste advice, it slipped my mind. Oh, and so you guys don't think I'm totally stupid, the hand over the muzzel thing was to keep the noise down in my house. And there was no paint in the gun. Do you think the valve would've been scratched or something? Would that explain the o-rings chopping? LMK. Thanks guys!
