First, it would help if you'd tell us how your gun is set up now. The most effective way to reduce the weight of any gun is to use a remote line. I recomend running the line up through your shirt so it doesn't get snagged on anything. Your gun should be so light then that it won't matter if it's off balance.

If it's still too heavy try lifting weights.
