The E99 electronics will probably be fine in the snow, I don't think enough water will get inside to damage them. For example, a friend of mine who has a Rainmaker did a test, he sprayed his marker with a hose while firing it, and it kept firing and the board didn't get damaged, even though a little water got on it. I think your E99 will be fine as long as you open it up when you get home and give any moist parts a chance to dry out. Electros are not as fragile as some people will tell you. Some boards can even get wet and still work fine even. Just be careful.

If you are really worried, I know some people put a plastic bag over their marker with a hole for the barrel to stick out and a hole for their trigger finger. This makes it hard to use and I don't think it's necessary, I'm just letting you know that I've seen people do it.
