Wouldn't invest a lot more than that.

LP is a question mark. You could buy an autococker that is designed to be a lp marker for about the same and be upgradeable from there.

Both of my boy uses stock spyder classics with that set up and people start comming up to them and asking about their 'upgrades' in a couple of hours. They don't believe him when he says it is stock, including the barrel. The accuracy that impresses them is the Inferno.

Beads on a String.

The other secret is they started some 8 years ago with pumps and were the last pumps seen regularly on that field. We learned to point and aim.

Snap shooting is an aquired skill. We would practice playing "Quick Draw". 20 yards apart. No hopper, one ball, and one shot. Point the markers straight down to start. Third guy blows a whistle or tosses a rock. When it hits the ground they can begin to move the markers to fire.

After a while, torso hits didn't count. Only head shots counted. They got really, really good at snap shooting.

The youngest would practice shooting at a milk jug at 30 yards.
He went to a remote set up to take the weight off his marker so he could snap shoot faster and run faster carrying it one handed.

Then he had a friend put milk jugs all over in the woods and he would run through the woods and when he spotted one, he would snap shoot it on the run - One handed. He is a bunkering fool now.

If the guy is 15 yards away and puts his head down for 2 seconds in a regular pattern, he is dead. Chris shoots right handed but he has this move that I know he is going for when he puts it in his LEFT hand. He knows his opponent is right handed. If he bunkers on his opponents left side, he has to swing farther to get a shot at him. He will take off and cover that ground in 2 seconds and AS HE RUNS BY, shoots the guy left handed. He is going for they guy(s) in the bunker behind him. Often he will break into the flank and rear of the opposing team before they know what is going on. Especially if the OLD Man is screaming and firing at players while trying to follow him up the field. I make a great diversion. I die but they all die. This IS a team sport.

Angels on 15 rps full auto is no problem for him. They spray and don't aim. If you get into a paint trading contest with him, you will lose. In ONE second he will fire 3 balls with a 50-50 chance of putting one on your facemask. In TWO seconds and six balls, it is a 100% probability you will have one on your facemask.

Same in a single shot snap shooting contest at 20 yards. If you don't get him before he fires 6 balls at you, then you are pretty much dead.

That little guy got really, really, really good.

He's 21 now and decided to get a serious upgrade. A patriot missle system. But he kicks every paintballers butt on the base and now playing with the locals over in Germany.

Every time you make a change to your gun, you also change how you shoot it. You can upgrade yourself out of the ability to play consistently.

Chris has played with the same setup for years. It fires and hits targets as easily as pointing his finger. Part of his body.

Point is:

Technology does NOT make you a player.

Skill, teamwork, and tactics does.

Hope you play as a squad and not a single. If you don't you need to form one. Send me an email about joining the Militia. A bunch of high / low tech recreational and scenerio players.
