: This is normal for an open bolt blowback marker, the blast of air that's propelling the ball out the barrel is the same blast that's propelling the hammer back to recock. You may be able to reduce it but you will never be rid of it. Hope it helps.

: : Ok, I have a bob long millenium which is basically a spyder. I am running a 20oz anti siphon through a stabilizer. I have a spring set and have tried several different spring and pressure combinations. My problem is Extreme blowback up the feed tube, causing me to chop balls. I shoot for fun somtimes without a hopper, just putting 2 or 3 balls in the feed tube and the next ball SHOOTS out of the feed tube! Any ideas?

Hey, I had the same exact problem with my old old old Scorpion. Not Vert Feed but same prob.
What I had to do was to put vent holes in the feed neck and a couple in my elbow. by doing this the air gets out and around the balls instead of bouncing them. I don't know if you want to do this but I had to for my Scorpion. I used a Dremel tool with cutting bit. It was very easy.
