I run a Compact 2000 Java Edition (last model befor they discontinued the line) my best friend runs the same marker but 1 gen older. Im still running CO2 (but in the vertical position, no bottom line- i find this keeps liquid CO2 out of the guns internals, a real problem with bottomlines). Neither of us have had a ball break (at least untill i started adding on to my gun- ~~Must remember:Hopper befor trigger Hopper befor trigger!!~~) or any other real mechanical problem. One addition ive made to my spyder which has helped imensly is to mod the bolt to act as a low pressure bolt by removing that damn "venturi" in there (that little star thinggy unscrews). upped my FPS by about 20 (which ment i had to tune the gun down = less gass more shots!!) a simple spyder is a great start to your paintball experiance, though i would disagree w/ the gentalmen about the nitro, as CO2 is much easier to use (screw and shoot). There. my $0.02
