Last time I used the spyder, I had the cocker front end pneumatics completely apart and modifying a stock ram for my switcheable sniper mode. Just didn't have it done when the youngest was home on leave and wanted to go play paintball. So we went... Used the spyder.
The cocker was a mess. The zilencer and 492 ports in my barrel were full of paint and shell. I started having fun (does NOT require an autococker) and was asked to join a helo jump behind enemy lines and WENT with the spyder. Just didn't have time to clean the cocker properly to get it back into the game. Hence, my NEW zilencer prototype. Rinse and SHAKE! Reassemble. Just hope it works! Hopeful but as ususal, I have to get fancy and make my life complicated. It will have intricately constructed baffling and a very large sound absortion surface area. Time before that, the timing got off and started acting ups. Turned out the Sear lug was creeping. Just hauled out the spyder instead of retiming it every 30 minutes to play with it for 10 minutes. Turned out the nylon insert that holds the sear lug from creeping had backed out. It now has blue loctite on the nylon insert.... Live and learn. That covers about 3 years... Not too bad considering how much I play and mess with it..... |
