As far as paint choice goes, you'll have to experiment. Even different batches of the same paint can shoot different, but for the most part the stock barrel shoots most well.

Personally I think sights are overkill. Practice with it and you'll find a point of aim that works for you. If not, a red dot (not laser) sight is a good choice. Any movement while shooting will throw any shot off that much. With stockclass, practice slowly squeeeeeezing the trigger...
